Though my path was not without challenges, including struggles with depression and faith, these experiences deeply inform the honesty and resilience that come through in my work.

I completed my B.A. in Studio Art in 1996 and soon after began a life shaped by travel and cultural immersion as a U.S. Navy wife.

Born in Iowa in 1973, I discovered art as both a refuge and a means of expression early in life but didn't pursue it regularly right away.

My journey took a pivotal turn after my family relocated to Florida during my teenage years. It was there, while studying at Florida Southern College, that I was encouraged by professor Downing Barnitz to pursue art more seriously—a moment that changed the course of my life.

During his 17.5 years of service, I accompanied my husband around the world.

In the UK, I began to share my art publicly for the first time and created my first website to showcase my work. Later, while living in Washington state, I expanded my skills by studying digital illustration, web design, and ceramics—finally realizing a childhood dream of learning to use a pottery wheel.

Today, I maintain a studio in the Lake of the Ozarks region, where I continue to explore painting, drawing, and ceramics.

My art reflects a life of movement, adaptation, and discovery.

Each piece carries traces of the places I’ve lived, the challenges I’ve overcome, and the joy I find in the act of creation itself.

Living in places such as England, Bahrain, and across the United States exposed me to diverse artistic traditions and perspectives in all the places we visited.

They've continued to influence my style.
